URETHANE is a transparent, air-drying, one-component polyurethane varnish with excellent insulating properties. It offers high surface and contact resistances, good dielectric strength, low dielectric constants and loss factors. URETHANE is resistant to moisture, diluted acids and alkalis. The varnish is elastic, abrasion-resistant and adhesive. It has a permanently good adhesion in the temperature range from –40 to +130 °C. During the drying time, a chemical cross-linking of the varnish takes place, so that it also provides excellent protection in humid or aggressive environmental conditions.
URETHANE is highly versatile. It prevents leakage currents in electrical devices, eliminates micro-faulty connections in coils and transformers, protects components from condensation and humidity and provides permanent insulation for cables and wires. URETHANE is used to eliminate corona effects in TV sets. URETHANE is used in electrical engineering to coat clamped and screwed connections in switch cabinets that are exposed to the most adverse atmospheric conditions. Due to its greater hardness compared to PLASTIC, URETHANE can also be used wherever greater mechanical resistance is required.
Thoroughly clean the surfaces of any residue. Spray onto the desired surfaces from a distance of approx. 20-30 cm.
