The QUICK TSS10B-K is a High Performance rapid cartridge soldering tip in a 300W version for the QUICK TS10 soldering station and is designed for demanding soldering work with high thermal demand. With its knife-shaped 45° geometry, 8.0 mm width and integrated heat reservoir, it combines high thermal reserve with a particularly versatile working form. This makes the tip ideal for applications where a lot of heat must be transferred quickly and in a controlled way to the solder joint.
The knife-shaped geometry differs clearly from classic chisel or round tips. It provides an elongated working edge that allows heat to be transferred in a targeted way along a line or across a wider contact zone. This makes the tip especially suitable for connector rows, lugs, plug contacts, solder tabs, cable terminations and larger contact areas. It is also very practical when solder has to be guided along a row of contacts or when a longer solder joint needs to be heated evenly.
The integrated heat reservoir supports stable heat output even when the workpiece absorbs a lot of energy or dissipates heat strongly. The TSS10 series combines soldering tip and heater in one direct unit. In combination with the QUICK TS10, approx. 3 seconds to 300°C are possible with a 1.6 mm tip. Temperature measurement directly in the tip supports precise control and fast reheating. An integrated thermocouple and the integrated chip for the individual calibration value support reliable and reproducible temperature indication at the station.
For very fine SMD work, tiny pads or tight component spacing, this tip shape is only suitable to a limited extent. Its strengths clearly lie in more robust joints, larger contact areas and applications where high heat performance and a special guiding geometry are required.
