The QUICK TSS10B-6C is a High Performance rapid cartridge soldering tip in a 300W version for the QUICK TS10 soldering station and is designed for demanding soldering work with increased thermal demand. With its straight design, elliptically shaped 45° bevel and 6.0 mm diameter, it combines high heat transfer with a very practical working geometry. This makes the tip especially suitable for applications where larger solder joints need to be heated reliably while still requiring a well-accessible and controllable tip shape.
The bevel geometry offers specific handling advantages compared with straight chisel tips. Due to the 45° bevel, the solder joint can be reached well from many working angles. Depending on hand position, the tip can be used with the edge or with a larger contact area. This makes it suitable for targeted heat transfer with a defined contact surface on plug contacts, solder tabs, cable terminations, wires, lugs, larger traces and pads with increased thermal demand.
Typical applications include workshop, service, production, repair, assembly and rework. The TSS10 series combines soldering tip and heater in one direct unit. In combination with the QUICK TS10, approx. 3 seconds to 300°C are possible with a 1.6 mm tip. Temperature measurement directly in the tip supports precise control and fast reheating. An integrated thermocouple and the integrated chip for the individual calibration value support reliable and reproducible temperature indication at the station.
For very fine SMD work, tiny pads or tight component spacing, smaller tip shapes are usually the better choice. The strengths of this geometry clearly lie in broader, more heat-intensive and well-accessible solder joints.
