Albrecht DR864 digital radio for DAB+ and FM

The Albrecht DR 864 is a stereo digital radio for receiving DAB+ and FM. It also features Bluetooth 5.4, allowing audio content to be played from compatible smartphones, tablets or other mobile devices. Two built-in speakers, each with 5 watts RMS, provide stereo sound.
The device features a 4.3-inch TFT colour display with a resolution of 480 x 272 pixels. This clearly displays, amongst other things, station names, song titles and further programme information. When used with DAB+ stations equipped for this feature, the radio also supports the DAB+ slideshow for displaying additional images and programme information.
DAB+ and FM with 60 station presets
As well as digital DAB+ reception, an FM tuner is also available. A total of up to 60 DAB+ and FM stations can be stored in a single favourites list.
The DR 864 features five direct-select buttons for frequently used stations. This allows you to access selected favourite stations directly, without first having to navigate through the station list.
Stereo speakers with a total output of 10 watts
The Albrecht DR 864 is fitted with two built-in speakers. Each speaker offers an output of 5 watts RMS, giving a total of 10 watts RMS.
The radio is therefore suitable for both talk programmes and news, as well as for playing music, podcasts and audiobooks.
Bluetooth 5.4 for external audio sources
Compatible mobile devices can be connected wirelessly to the radio via the built-in Bluetooth function. Audio content from a smartphone or tablet can then be played directly through the DR 864’s speakers.
For compatible audio content, track information is transmitted via ID3 tags and displayed on the colour screen.
Convenience mode for simplified operation
The DR 864 features a convenience mode that can be activated. This reduces operation to essential functions such as switching the radio on and off, adjusting the volume and accessing five preset favourite stations.
This allows the radio to be operated even by people who prefer simple and clearly structured user guidance. At the same time, it prevents accidental changes to other settings.
Voice output and multilingual menu navigation
The integrated voice output provides additional support during operation. This can be particularly helpful when the display content is difficult to read.
The menu navigation and voice guidance are available in nine languages: German, English, French, Italian, Dutch, Turkish, Danish, Norwegian and Czech.
Control via the unit or remote control
The radio can be controlled either using the controls on the front panel or via the supplied remote control. This means, for example, that station selection and volume can be adjusted even from a distance.
A retractable telescopic aerial is built in for receiving DAB+ and FM signals.
Alarm function and sleep timer
The DR 864 can also be used as a clock radio. It features an alarm function, a snooze function and a sleep timer.
The headphone socket also allows for private audio playback without using the unit’s speakers.
Support for ASA via DAB+
The Albrecht DR 864 supports the Automatic Safety Alert, or ASA for short. The system enables the transmission of relevant safety and warning messages via the DAB+ network.
When a designated warning message is received, the radio can automatically switch on from standby and play back the relevant information.
