OPTICUM WIDEBAND LEGACY 4 LNC (LNB) – Hybrid solution for modern SAT distribution
The OPTICUM WIDEBAND LEGACY 4 is a hybrid LNB that combines two technologies in one unit: Wideband outputs for up-to-date multiswitch/distribution systems and four classic (Legacy) satellite outputs for receivers or TVs with an integrated satellite tuner. This makes it ideal for new installations, upgrades, and retrofits where modern distribution technology and existing end devices need to be used side by side.
Wideband + Legacy – what does that mean in practice?
2× Wideband (H/V) outputs:
These outputs deliver the satellite signal as wideband IF (one output for Horizontal, one for Vertical) across the wide frequency range of 290–2340 MHz. This is the perfect basis for wideband-capable multiswitches and modern distribution concepts that provide full channel availability with fewer cables.
4× Legacy outputs:
The four Legacy ports work as standard universal satellite connections and can directly feed a receiver or TV (IF range 950–2150 MHz). Ideal for keeping existing equipment in operation without any changes.
Strong gain reserve for stable reception
With a gain of 50 to 60 dB (±0.5 dB), this LNB offers solid signal reserve—helpful for longer cable runs, more complex installations, or challenging reception conditions. The supported RF input range of 10.7 to 12.75 GHz covers the common Ku-band satellite range for TV and radio services.
Built for outdoor use: robust and temperature-resistant
Designed for outdoor installations, the LNB operates reliably in temperatures from −40 to +60 °C. Its black housing blends discreetly with most satellite dish setups.
Installation: fits standard feed holders
With a 40 mm feed neck, the LNB fits almost all standard satellite dish LNB brackets. For long-term reliability, ensure correct mounting and skew adjustment, and protect F-connectors from weather (e.g., with self-amalgamating tape or weatherproof boots).
Power supply / compatibility
Operating voltage is 9–12 V. Make sure your receiver, multiswitch, or power inserter provides the appropriate supply (especially when combining wideband distribution with direct Legacy connections).
