40 mm LNB Adapter for Compatible Kathrein and Astro Satellite Dishes
The AS61150 is a mechanical LNB adapter and feed holder designed to install a standard LNB with a 40 mm feed neck on compatible Kathrein and Astro satellite antennas.
It is particularly useful when an existing satellite reflector is still mechanically serviceable but the original LNB must be replaced or converted to a more widely available 40 mm standard LNB.
For standard 40 mm LNBs

Reuse an existing satellite reflector

These functions depend on the selected LNB and the connected distribution equipment.
Check LNB housing clearance
Two LNBs with the same 40 mm feed neck can have very different housing dimensions.
Sufficient clearance between the LNB, feed arm and surrounding components should therefore be checked.
Readjust after installation
After replacing the LNB, it is recommended to check:
LNB position
LNB skew
signal strength
signal quality
Small changes in feed position can affect reception performance.

Cable routing
Coaxial cables should be supported so that unnecessary mechanical load is not transferred to the LNB or adapter.
This is particularly important with Quattro LNBs and other installations using several cables.
Weather protection of connectors
The adapter does not provide weather sealing for the LNB’s F connectors.
Outdoor coaxial connections must be protected appropriately according to the connector and cable system used.
